RACE Charities considers the word donation to have several meanings. The sacrifice of time to volunteer to help in one of RACE’s events is considered a donation. The sacrifice of time and energy to participate in one of RACE’s events is considered a donation. The sacrifice of time to discuss with physicians or medical administrators the importance of awareness of family history of cancer on forms or consultations as a mandatory part of patient visits is also considered a donation. Any form of sacrifice that involves some level of promoting the advancement of the early detection of cancer is considered to be a valuable donation.
