Over 30 participants turned out to join the RACE Charities Group in downtown Wichita.

RACE’s own Brandon Paulseen ran the River Run 2 mile event in a blazing time of 10 minutes 29 seconds. Ben Gensch and Grant Culver both ran the 10K in under 45 minutes. Over 30 people joined our RACE Charities group in downtown Wichita for the foundation’s annual “Go For Glory!” event, which helped our organization promote its cause and connect with a wide range of friends and supporters. RACE Charities Foundation raised over $1100 at the event and many thanks go out to everyone who supported us!

The Wichita Girls Cross Country Club- Flying Angels were there in full force and sported the GlowBands and ran the 2 mile event in tremendously fast times. Way to go girls!

We look forward to seeing everyone next year at the same event, so mark your calendars for this annual Wichita River Run RACE Charities’ “Go For Glory!” and keep posted with the events and plans for next spring’s big Wichita event!

On February 4th, RACE Charities Foundation was pleased to present Dr. William Grady of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (FHCRC) with its fourth consecutive donation check. Dr. Grady’s world-renowned research laboratory specializes in colon cancer early detection and prevention and the strides that FHCC is making in this area of science and cancer research is phenomenal. RACE Foundation members Jeromy Gensch, John Gensch, and Jake Kraft were honored to spend nearly two hours with Dr. Grady as well as tour some new areas of the facility including nutritional research and excercise science.

RACE Charities Foundation will look forward to its next visit to FHCC the afternoon of July 30th and invites anyone living in the Seattle area or interested in traveling to Seattle to join us in a tour and informational session this summer to please consider joining us in this valuable opportunity to learn more!
